Finance & Operations Manager

Studio Rawls is a multidisciplinary, collaborative production and research company anchored by the work of artist Will Rawls. The Studio is currently seeking an experienced Finance & Operations Manager to lead business operations, personnel management, and financial administration. Currently, the Studio operates as a single-member LLC and utilizes fiscal sponsorship when necessary. The F&O Manager will work alongside project-specific producers to book artist travel, schedule meetings, and update websites/marketing materials. The ideal candidate has at least five years experience in administrative and financial management with a preference for someone familiar with the performing and visual arts fields. Bookkeeping experience is a plus. The role will work alongside a small team of employees and with several independent contractors. The position is remote with occasional travel as needed. Responsibilities:
Financial Operations
On a Regular Basis
Monthly communication with bookkeeper and artist, receipt collection
Managing annual operating budgets
Overseeing project budgets in collaboration with Rawls and producers
-Issuing and processing invoices
Processing bi-weekly payroll
Managing cash flow across multiple bank accounts
Coordination with tax accountant
Managing liability, workers’ compensation, and disability benefits insurances
On an Annual Basis
Issuing 1099s/w2s annually
As Needed
Compliance management across multiple states
-Employee onboarding/management
-Contractor onboarding/management
Studio Operations
On a Regular Basis
Booking travel/lodging
Schedule meetings/managing calendar
Managing studio email addresses
Organizing google drive/dropbox (working and archival files)
Leading website design/update processes
Drafting & sending mass emails in collaboration with artist & producers (marketing, PR)

Social Media Contractor, Whistle Space, a project by Studio Rawls

About Us
Whistle Space is a burgeoning entity supporting the work of Black artists and their relations in the Berkshires* initiated by choreographer Will Rawls.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Consultant to support Whistle Space’s activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing social media strategy, enhancing WS’s online presence, and engaging audiences with compelling content that showcases programs, events, and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with WS’s organizational goals;
Create, curate, and manage engaging content across various platforms (Instagram, X, Tiktok, etc.);
Optimize engagement and reach;
Engage with WS’s audience by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely manner;
Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices, adapting strategies as necessary;
Coordinate online campaigns for fundraising, events, and community outreach;
Work with artists, stakeholders, and partners to highlight their contributions and promote their work.
Qualifications
Proven experience in social media management, preferably within the arts or non-profit sector;
Familiarity with social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer);
Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
Creative mindset with an eye and skill for design and visual content;
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What We Offer
A competitive hourly fee (between $50-$60/hr) commensurate with your experience;
Flexible work hours, monthly commitment of 10-20 hrs/month ranges based on project activities

The Studio is currently seeking an experienced Producer/Program Manager to support 1-3 creative processes led by Will Rawls. The ideal candidate has at least three years experience in creative producing, arts administrator and/or events management with a preference for someone with experience in the performing and visual arts fields. The role will work alongside a small team of employees and with several independent contractors. The position is remote with occasional travel as needed. Studio Rawls is a multidisciplinary, collaborative production and research company anchored by the work of artist Will Rawls. The Studio is currently seeking an experienced Grant Writer to identify and co-write grants for Studio Rawls and Will Rawls. The ideal candidate has at least five years experience in development or grant writing with a preference for someone familiar with the performing and visual arts fields. Bonus if the candidate is familiar with working with multiple fiscal sponsors and fundraising for an LLC.
